Robbie Sheridans olie-råd til Thorens td124

I did a lot of research and found that the original oil ROB is now Regal Oil T46 and the ROG is Regal Oil T220. I have confirmed this with Caltex, Texaco, and Chevron. The heavier oil that I supplied is T220, exactly as ROG. The lighter oil is Z22 and is derived from T46, although very slightly different. I can get T46 withot too much trouble but I've had very good results on motors using Z22.
I believe that the heavier oil in the stepped pulley and idler was chosen by Thorens to dampen out any noise rather than for its lubricating properties, so it should work out much better if people have been using light oil. I know that Jaap (Pees, Hanze HiFi) uses Renetac for the pulley. I researched that and it is a sticky oil, normally used for sliding components, and has a viscosity of 68, so stepping up to 220 should still be better.
